In search of a better life, schoolboy Tripp (Lucas Till) builds a monster truck out of pieces of recycled cars found in a landfill. For a guy living in a dull tiny town, a huge truck seems to be the best way to escape from the gray everyday life. After an accident at a nearby oil rig, Tripp discovers a strange underground creature with a passion and love for speed. And it looks like he's finally found the key to success, as well as an unexpected new friend in the movies Monster Trucks 3d blu ray.

A provincial oil company is drilling the ground at great depth and comes across an underground lake. When the oilmen try to pass through it, the drilling rig malfunctions, and the explosion brings several large octopus-like creatures to the surface. Since the discovery of a new species of animals can lead to the declaration of the drilling site as a nature protection zone, the head of the company orders to catch the creatures and secretly get rid of them. Two monsters manage to be caught, and the third crawls into a car dump where a high school student Tripp (Lucas Till) works. At first, the guy is scared of the strange creature, but soon they become friends, and Tripp discovers that the octopus feeds on oil and that it can be used as a powerful engine of an all-terrain vehicle, which the guy is trying to assemble at his leisure.
