In the heart-pounding sci-fi thriller Tenet, acclaimed director Christopher Nolan invites audiences on a mind-bending journey through time and espionage. Led by the enigmatic Protagonist, portrayed by John David Washington, the film weaves a complex narrative that blurs the line between reality and perception.
Comment from JFC
This one has been requested so much over the past year, I decided to wait until I could do those beautiful IMAX shots justice. I’m utilising some new tricks you will see very soon to make this film feel just as epic as you would expect, Nolan doesn’t deserve anything less.

Years in the making, this highly anticipated film has been eagerly awaited by fans around the world. Building on the legacy established by visionary director Michael Bay, this installment takes the beloved robotic warriors to unprecedented heights.
Comment from JFC
While working on Tenet, this film surprised me with a digital release, so i figured it would be best to take a short break in order to get this out. Using a lot of similar ideas that I’m incorporating into Tenet, Transformers is the training ground, early feedback from tests has been great, some shots even better than the studio conversion. So I’m very excited to see the reaction to this film.

In the thrilling superhero film Morbius, prepare to delve into a world where heroes and monsters blur the line between good and evil. Directed by Daniel Espinosa, this gripping tale introduces audiences to the complex and tortured character of Dr. Michael Morbius, brilliantly portrayed by Jared Leto. Dr. Morbius, a brilliant but haunted scientist, embarks on a dangerous journey to cure his rare blood disorder. However, his experimentation takes an unexpected turn, transforming him into a living vampire with extraordinary powers and insatiable thirst.
Comment from JFC
Morbius was disregarded so quickly upon its release in 2D, while working on this film it alarmed me how much of it seemed built for 3D. I urge anyone who wrote this film off to give it another chance, if you’re skeptical, just watch the 3D trailer, which is completely built from the 3D master of the film. I truly believe it could have avoided a lot of criticism if it was released originally in 3D.

In the heart-stopping war drama Dunkirk, acclaimed director Christopher Nolan masterfully captures the true story of the miraculous evacuation during World War II. Set against the backdrop of the eponymous coastal town in France, the film immerses audiences in the harrowing reality of war. With a nonlinear narrative, Dunkirk intertwines three perspectives: land, sea, and air. As soldiers find themselves trapped on the beaches, surrounded by the enemy, civilian boats set sail to rescue them, while RAF pilots engage in intense dogfights overhead. The film explores themes of courage, survival, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of overwhelming odds.
Comment from JFC
Another Nolan film, this one has a shot in it that took 12 hours to paint, it might not even be noticed, but if you can spot it, let me know! Definitely one of the hardest films I’ve worked on, making that clear white sky seem deep was very intense.

For decades, The Flash has endured a fluctuating journey towards its cinematic realization, dating back to the late '80s. As Christopher Nolan revitalized Batman under the Warner Bros. banner in the mid-2000s, The Flash movie came tantalizingly close to fruition. However, the path to the big screen has been beset by obstacles, with four years passing since director Andy Muschietti, embarked on this ambitious project. The exhilarating promise of witnessing Michael Keaton's return to donning the iconic cowl has kept anticipation soaring to unprecedented heights. Brace yourself as The Flash races towards an unforgettable cinematic adventure.
Comment from JFC
I saw this film early in May and went straight to the club on telegram to sing it’s praises. Initially I didn’t want to work on it because I liked the film so much and working on a film means seeing it at a very close level, it can easily make me lose interest or be sick of it by the time I’m finished. I’m happy to report that I intend to work on this after Spider-Verse and Tenet, should it go well. Warner films tend to be framed really well and the shot composition and wide angles used in The Flash are a dream for a stereo artist.

In the riveting supernatural thriller The Popes Exorcist, prepare to witness a relentless clash between the forces of evil and the unwavering faith of the divine. As darkness descends upon the Vatican, a renowned exorcist, guided by his unshakeable devotion, is summoned to confront a malevolent presence that threatens to unleash chaos on an unprecedented scale. As the battle intensifies, secrets buried deep within the Church's history and the exorcist's own past come to light, adding an additional layer of mystery and danger.
Comment from JFC
This film was requested when it was first released and after the great response to Evil Dead Rise and The Exorcist, I figured it would be fun to work on a film that feels a bit like a combination of those two movies. Just like with Evil Dead Rise, I have tried some new things in this conversion that I find risky, but if it goes well these things will be used in future conversions. I’m always pushing to make the most immersive experience and this is only the beginning.
10. Oppenheimer 3D 2023

What would be the point of working on Dunkirk and Tenet if it didn’t lead to Oppenheimer? This conversion is going to be the bomb. Here’s hoping for a quick IMAX release.
