What can I say... Nice it is. Long awaited, brilliantly implemented. A venerable moment to see one of the best Stallone films, one of the best ambitious action films of the 80s, in an extraordinary 3D version. The city, the forest, the hunt, the reckoning... The 3D practically puts you right in the middle of the action, dark, dense atmosphere. It feels like I've seen it 100 times, but never experienced it so intensively... A very worthy interpretation.

When people think of Rambo they usually think of what Rambo became in later movies. A macho guy who kills a ton of people without any remorse and very easily. However in the first film it's less about action and more or less a character study. This 80s gem packs an emotional punch. That's not to say the film doesn't have it's badass moments, quite a few iconic action scenes actually. To me the 3D adds a lot to the forest landscape making the hunt in the forest that much more immersive. I've seen this film many times and if I have the choice to watch it again I'd go with JFC's version.

Not typically the type of movie I watch or have in my enormous library and I haven't seen it since it first ran in theaters. I could not however, resist seeing what magic JFC applied to bring it to life. I was not disappointed and found the experience captivating and totally immersive. Well done JFC, another winner!
