The Council an order of elite families learns of the deaths and gathers at the Danforth complex. The twins kidnap Grace and Faith for another game. Four families must kill Grace before dawn to win the High Seat and a powerful ring. Grace agrees to play when Faiths life is threatened. She refuses to end the game by marrying an elite member. Chaos follows as family members kill each other accidentally. Ursula Danforth nearly kills Grace but Faith saves her. Grace stabs Titus Danforth with a pen after a forced wedding. Faith kicks him into a pit of goats. Grace announces her removal from the Council and throws the ring into the pit. Everyone jumps in after it killing each other.
