Monty Python has always been a warning institution against all the absurdities of this world. With "Life of Brian," Monty Python does not take the history of religions quite so seriously, instead taking targeted jabs at the sometimes grotesque aspects of faith and the associated blindness among the sighted. Rarely has the audience been held up to such a mirror. Without taking sides and without discrediting individual religions, this film unashamedly denounces what has always cast the meaning of some religions in a questionable light. Rarely has it been so well-crafted and so comically presented that even the most staunch believer finds these abuses as truly absurd. Humor to throws on the floor laughing. A uniquely wonderful satire, a masterpiece of film history. Despite the rather grainy source material of the almost half-century-old film, an outstanding job has been done to give this masterpiece a new dimension. The 3D is great, with pleasantly deep, well-chosen viewing angles, a great expansion of the field of vision, and some great, beautifully crafted scenes create an impressive overall experience that makes "Life of Brian" a mega event in the third dimension.
