Parisienne Life 3D Blu Ray 1953

This is a very short American 3D glamour/burlesque film from the early 1950s, made during the first major boom in 3D cinema. It centers on dancers and staged scenes in the spirit of the semi-erotic shows of the time. The film is designed primarily for spectacle and a sense of presence, rather than for its plot.

Parisienne Life premiered on September 14, 1953, in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was one of five burlesque shorts that Harry A. Farros screened in color anaglyph 3D under the “Gorgeous Multi-Color” brand.

This short film is now officially available again: it has been included as a bonus feature on the new 3D Blu-ray release of The Stewardesses, where it appears as a separate 11-minute film. The restoration was done from a surviving anaglyph copy.
