The plot of the movie The Man Who Wasn't There 3D 1983. The main character is a barber Ed Crane. He lives in a small town and tries to provide for his family. Ed dreams of a better life and sees an opportunity to make money from insurance fraud. He convinces his wife Doris to fake an accident in order to get a large insurance payout. However, the plan fails and Ed finds himself embroiled in a dangerous game with the police and the mafia. The movie shows how the protagonist tries to get out of this situation and protect his family from the consequences of his actions.
