Man in the Dark 3D Blu Ray 1953

This movie ISO has the WRONG default audio track of #2 selected, which is background music only? If you RIP this ISO, make sure you either copy all the available audio tracks, or simply pre-select audio track #1 to get the correct DIALOG audio. If you copy all the audio tracks, or burn the ISO as currently encoded, you will need to manually change the audio track each time you play this movie to hear the dialog audio, a real bummer. Also, this ISO does NOT have any type of opening DVD menu type introduction or feature selections, so when inserting the DVD to play you will see and hear NOTHING unless you remember to manually select play afterwards to start the video, very odd.
 
If RIPPING your own copy from the ISO, do NOT choose Side-By-Side because the original aspect ratio used from this 1953 movie will not allow this format to display properly. Choose Over/Under or Top/Bottom instead and things will look great. NOTE: There is one brief section that is 48 seconds long that is in 2D. Generally this can occur if something bad happens to the original 3D film stock which become damaged or stereo pair sections are lost over the years. This is why it is very important to save these treasures before all becomes lost or damaged over time and therefore needs the help to preserve them as much as possible for future generations.
 
According to my research, this video was a limited edition 3D DVD, only 3000 copies released, a very rare find indeed. I’m grateful to “3d-hd.club” for locating a copy and making it available. As a collectable now, I’ve seen prices on this movie as high as $278.00 or as low as $157.00 as of today’s date. To show my appreciation to “3d-hd.club”, I have written this rather lengthy comment for everyone’s benefit and will begin doing more on other videos they offer, both good or bad comments depending on my findings about each I download and can later review. I’ve already posted a very negative review about the movie “Charade” using a different user name, before I recently selected my new user name used here and will continue using for all future posting comments. Unfortunately I can’t afford a paid account with faster download speeds on my fixed income, so, reviews, observations, helpful tips or comments will be slow in coming as it can take almost a week to fully download these large files. Hopefully other people can start posting their own useful comments about the videos they download to try and help others too. ENJOY!

CORRECTION: This movie CAN be RIPPED into a SBS format without problems. Unfortunately an unnamed software that I was using had a crop feature activated by default which destroyed the stereo pairs alignment from its original resolution. Although this movie is in a modern wide screen 16.9 aspect ratio, this older movie still displays as a smaller 4.3 aspect ratio even on newer wider screens. The automatic cropping I mentioned screwed everything up from the added left/right side black bars rather than from a more typical top/bottom black bars which is NOT allowed for 3D stereo images unlike for 2D video images. If your Ripping software also has automatic cropping too, disable this function for any 3D movies you may process in the future to AVOID these type of problems.
 
To be clear, although it is possible to crop off the top/bottom black bars from a 3D movie which will stretch out the image a bit to make it more full screen, you can NEVER crop off the left/right SIDE bars if they exist or you will destroy the stereo alignment.
