The arogant, greedy human, full of prejudice, fear and hatred of everything unknown, gets into a war with an alien race in a distant galaxy. Two enemies, set on each other out of fear and misunderstanding. Two warriors, stranded on a distant, hostile planet, have to learn for their survive, to overcome their fears and anger, gather all their courage and create trust where previously there was only hate. The path is hard and rocky, but full of faith and devotion at the same time. It is worth discovering that they are more similar than they were taught and that the purpose of this war was a lie... A unique, fantastic film, a feast for the eyes and for the soul. One of the most impressive science fiction blockbusters of the 1980s gets an excellent upgrade. I never expected to experience this film in a completely new way. A great job was done here. The film is not a mega pop-out star, but it truly no need for to expect this. The film impresses with its visuals and its brilliantly simple story. Let yourself be impressed by the beauty of this inhospitable foreign world, crowned by impressive beautiful depth and fantastic choreography. An unexpectedly beautiful interpretation of one of my favorite sience fiction films from my childhood. Truly dignified lifted into a new dimension...
