The story movie Tormented 3D takes place in a prestigious boarding school, where a group of privileged students, led by Bradley, were responsible for the death of a socially awkward and introverted boy named Darren in a bullying incident. The incident was swept under the rug by the school's administration, and the students involved carried on with their lives, seemingly unperturbed by their actions.

However, as the school year progresses, the group of friends begins to experience a series of eerie and terrifying events. They start seeing glimpses of Darren's ghostly apparition, always appearing as a mutilated and tormented figure. The spirit's appearances become increasingly malevolent, targeting each of the students individually, exploiting their deepest fears and insecurities. As they are tormented by guilt and fear, their relationships with each other deteriorate.

The students are initially reluctant to admit the supernatural occurrences to one another, but as the hauntings escalate, they realize that they must confront their past actions and find a way to appease Darren's restless spirit.
