Dragon Blade 3D Blu Ray 2015

The 3D version of this movie has additional footage NOT seen in the 2D version I’ve watched.

“Alternate versions
International version is 24 minutes shorter. Among the cuts are a 4 minute scene at the start of the film about modern day archaeologists visiting the ruins of the city. Many scenes featuring Huo's wife Xiu Qing are also cut.”
 
At the end of the 3D version the archaeologists are also seen again to balance out the telling of the overall story.
 
One such cut I regret NOT seeing was Jackie Chan accidentally grasping a female warrior’s breast during a fight scene, which was very funny. Later when Jackie Chan goes to apologize and return her veil lost during the same fight, she surprisingly drops all her cloths completely; rear view only, which also has a funny outcome, but was also unfortunately edited/cut to eliminate the amusing and awkward buttocks shot originally shown.
 
Although it is stated that the movie has Chinese & German audio tracks only, many parts of this movie have English audio too. The parts played by the Roman solders speak English and Jackie Chan also speaks English when communicating with them.
 
The English subtitles come in two types, FULL, and translations for “foreign parts only” which is how I like them displayed.
 
I highly recommend this movie, the 3D is very good and the story is engrossing from start to finish. Having parts of this foreign film with English dialog was a nice surprise making it a welcome and quite unique addition to my collection.
