Death Wish 3D Blu Ray 2018

Bruce Willis in one of his last real leading roles before his serious illness took him completly out of the big game. Death Wish 2018 is officially a remake of the great Charles Bronson original, but it differs significantly in many ways. The revenge story remains, but the film deliberately avoids the rape and other stylistic device, which was used in many films of the 1970s. Ultimately, the dark look and brutality of the original story were adapted to todays times, what opens the film to a wider audience. Death Wish is a cool, well made, but not great action thriller that is still worth watching a second time. Many people do not like this film simply because of Bruce Willis' illness, which was already very advanced when filming began, but you should still give the film a chance with an open mind. The 3D turned out basic, but great. Very subtle in some, but clearly present and suporting in many scenes. It offers enormous depth to the excellently chosen location and supports the story. The lack of darkness to the original is well compensated by a cleverly chosen 3D. Rounded up with an awesome soundtrack, Death Wish offers a perfect Saturday evening movie.
