The plot of the movie The Matrix 3D Blu Ray 1999

In the late 1990s, Thomas A. Anderson, a computer programmer who moonlights as a hacker under the alias Neo, becomes embroiled in a mind-bending conspiracy. Neo’s mundane existence takes a surreal turn when he encounters Morpheus, a mysterious figure who reveals the shocking truth: humanity is imprisoned within a simulated reality called the Matrix. Intelligent machines have enslaved humans, using their bodies as an energy source while feeding them a convincing illusion of the world. As Neo grapples with this revelation, he joins Morpheus and his band of rebels in their fight against the oppressive system. The film delves into themes of identity, reality, and the struggle for freedom, all set against a dystopian backdrop where powerful Agents relentlessly pursue those who seek to break free from the Matrix.

A fictional future. Mind-controlled people trapped in a world artificially implanted in their memory. Humanity, unconsciously condemned to dream. An Oracle prophesied savior: Neo. But in order to become what is predestined, he must first be redeemed himself and learn what he is supposed to teach. He has the choice between life and illusion, between red and blue. The truth is just a different point of view, a different point of angle... We all are a part of the whole... or is there more in the matrix? Many have tried, all have failed. Even studios never dared to make a 3D version of the film, which was already tailor-made for 3D back then. The entire representation always seems like the epitome of 3D. There are of course limits to the conversion. But with The Matrix these were once again pushed far into the distance. It is a joy to experience how boundaries are crossed, perspectives are changed, dimensions are virtually created new. It has never been more breathtaking to see this film, it has never been more intense to experience this film. So far, no one has been able to convert this great 2D film into something even more extraordinary in 3D. This 3D goes far beyond what you would expect. Great understanding of film and outstanding choreography of individual elements support perception and compensate for limited technical possibilities. As a result, we get a uniquely beautiful and worthy 3d that honors the work. Is it presumptuous to ask for more of it?

    Okay, let me tell you.

I've taken my VR Headset off and damn, I wish I hadn't. After a similar experience with Free Guy, JFC has outdone himself, YET AGAIN.

The attention to detail, the minor artifacts, nothing to envy to recent studio conversions like Deadpool & Wolverine.

    Damn.

    DAMN!! I loved this!!!

I am only 30 minutes into the film and so I'll update this comment when I've finished it but I had to come to the comments to say this...

I saw The Matrix when it was first released into the cinemas and like many others it created what we would call now as a core memory. I witnessed the impact The Matrix had on pop culture first hand and it was arguably responsible for the boom in DVD and Home Cinema sales globally at that time with local Hi-Fi retailers setting up home cinema rigs in the back with the lobby scene playing on loop - not only were the speakers and subs pounding but they were flying off the shelves too with people wanting to take the action home with them. I was one of them.

Getting home, setting everything up and watching The Matrix again with quality picture and sound via the DVD created another core memory and whilst I have seen it countless times since then on all formats available I don't really remember them.

That was until last night, when another core memory was created. Even from just the first opening minutes, seeing dimensionality in The Matrix for the first time was emotionally moving and it just feels so right - like this is how this film was meant to be seen. This could be the definitive way to watch The Matrix. If the quality and significance of a 3D release could influence the future of 3D then this is the One that could do it.

JFC - thank you for creating a new core memory.

--Update 22/09/24: I've managed to watch up to the 1 hour mark and I honestly can't get over how utterly incredible it is watching The Matrix in 3D - it is stunning, absolutely stunning work. Incredible. I'm going back in........
