Mad Max: Fury Road 3D is a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Max Rockatansky, a solitary survivor haunted by his past, is captured by a tyrannical warlord named Immortan Joe and his army of War Boys. Max is imprisoned as a "blood bag" to provide transfusions for the sick War Boy, Nux. 

Meanwhile, Imperator Furiosa, a trusted lieutenant of Immortan Joe, betrays him and escapes with his prized possessions: his five wives, who are fleeing to find freedom and a better life. Furiosa's daring escape leads to a high-octane chase across the desert, with Immortan Joe and his army relentlessly pursuing her.

In the near future, the Earth is almost destroyed by a thermonuclear war and a global ecological disaster. The surface of the planet has turned into one continuous desert with rare interspersed with fertile soil. Miraculously, the surviving people stray into bloodthirsty gangs and fight for the "remnants of the former luxury": underground sources, oil reserves, cars and weapons. One of these gangs, which controls the mountain fortress Citadel, captures the lone wanderer Max Rokatansky, who was once a policeman and who in the new world has become one of the best "warriors of the roads". The bandits want to use Max as a blood donor for their comrades dying of cancer. Meanwhile, the one-armed Furyosa (Charlize Theron), the leader of the gang's raider squad, escapes from the Citadel with the young wives of the bandit leader, the elderly Immortal Joe (Hugh Keys-Byrne). The woman wants to find a place where girls would be considered equal members of society, and not the property of men. The immortal Joe and his men rush in pursuit, taking Max with them, and circumstances develop in such a way that Max soon finds himself in the cockpit of a battle wagon, in which Furyosa rushes through the desert.
