Since ancient times, two powerful orders - the Templars and Assassins - are fighting for the control of humanity, by the end of the 15th century the killer community almost disappears: a handful of mercenaries of the order manage to hide from the inquisitors and hide their main artifact - the Apple of Eden. In the XXI century the Templars found a way to find the value lost from the distant past, with the help of their invention called Animus, through distant descendants of the Assassins, they peer into pictures of the past. Callum Lynch, a descendant of the mercenary Aguilar de Nera, the man who was the last to keep the artifact, is most helpful in the search for Apple. Animus discovers the location of the cherished trophy, but the same machine awakens the spirit of his bloodthirsty ancestor in Lynch - Callum gains strength, agility and determination of Aguilar, who considers the preservation of Apple as a matter of his life.

Further more. We move into modernity and find ourselves in tough contradiction with logic and science. Believing in DNA memory is excusable for the Middle Ages, but in the 21st century it carries some kind of Lysenkoism — the “advanced” Soviet scientists who rejected genetics also believed that mice would be born tailless if their ancestors cut tails mercilessly . As we know, genes are, after all, somewhat more complicated, but not so much so as to restore events of five hundred years ago in a holographic format by a drop of blood.

Meanwhile, the game had enough potential to raise philosophical issues and assess social changes in society, and talk about morality, but the creators of the theatrical “Assassin's Creed” focused on action, and everything else was pushed into fifth place. This also entails all other problems - the actors have nothing to play, and the director has nothing to pump tension from. You can, of course, say that the personalities and characters of the Assassins of medieval Spain should not be revealed, they are simply soulless and nameless killing machines, but in modern times there is someone to uncover and how to deploy the confrontation. No, “Credo” is primitive and unassuming - all the “secrets of the Madrid court” in the film fit in a couple of words and three dozen jumps.
