Supergirl 3D Blu Ray 2026

It flopped mercilessly at the box office, giving many yet another reason to turn their backs on the superhero genre...
 
Admittedly, it features a simple story that plays out outside the expected narrative arc, heavily laced with plenty of brawling.
But let us be honest, the brawling is what you actually expect, and we had hoped for a story that was not just a rehash of the same old thing. 
Well, they did exactly that, and now everyone is complaining... what a crazy world.

Sure, SUPERGIRL probably wont win any Academy Awards, but seriously... who expects that? Amidst all the scathing reviews and wishes that the movie had never been made, it holds a glimmer of potential that I more and more rarely see in other films of this genre. 

I am thinking of BATMAN v SUPERMAN and MAN OF STEEL, both hugely successful, yet incredibly mindless too. They were nearly nothing but non-stop brawling: zero substance, zero sense, and zero mercy for the audience. 

Now, SUPERGIRL is not exactly a profound film either, but I found things to like, such as the goofy dog, the willingness to stand up for those who are clearly weaker and in need of help, and the act of admitting one's own shortcomings and finding the courage to change them. That is something her cousin seems to have lost sight of a bit in his eternal battle for Earth... 

But fair enough, that is just my opinion. Think what you want, I was thoroughly entertained by SUPERGIRL, thanks to a few funny little moments that kept pulling me out of the monotonous orgy of destruction.

The films visuals are not ideally suited for 3D, so it is no surprise that the effect is used quite sparingly compared to other conversions. 
Still, they tried to spruce the film up a bit, and I think, all in all, they succeeded quite well.

Anyone familiar with the press coverage has likely already ruled out going to see the movie.
But I think that anyone who can get on board with films like MAN OF STEEL should feel free to give a SUPERGIRL adaptation an open-minded chance.
