The Naked Gun 3D Blu Ray 2025

When Liam Neeson said he wanted to turn his back on the action genre, I initially thought it was a joke. But since he apparently meant it, the switch to comedy is only logical. Why he chose this particular dud of a film for his debut, however, is beyond me. Not that I have anything against remakes in general, but tackling "Zucker Abrams Zucker" in the comedy genre was bound to fail. After all, these are the epitome of hilarity. The director would have been wise to scrap the project after a few test shots. It was definitely not the story, the actors, or the fact that the original was by the Z.A.Z. team. No, it is simply because the original was a round thing, a complete package. Here, the director is desperately trying to copy the originals typical situational comedy, completely forgetting the rest of the film in the process. Liam delivers as usual, no question. But he does not possess that hilariously charismatic presence that Lesley Nielsen had, and Pamela Anderson... Let me try to say it with nice words... She is just a tired substitute for Priscilla Presley. The 3D is beautifully integrated, with wide viewing angles, great depth, and a lot of attention to detail. The 3D implementation also focuses on things other than just sticking rigidly to the films core elements. This allowed me to discover a rather funny side scene that I had missed in 2D. However, for me, it unfortunately does not significantly improve the film. The film simply is not as funny and innovative as I expected. I went into the cinema with a completely open mind and low expectations. Despite this, the film was a pure disappointment. I was not really entertained by the two or three funny scenes, and when the owl scene came on, my evening was completely ruined. Personally, I would not recommend this film. However, because I sometimes have my own, rather unusual, taste in movies, I do not want to discourage anyone from watching "The Naked Gun." Feel free to form your own opinion. But please do not say I did not warn you...
