Batman Forever 3D Blu Ray 1995

With “Batman Forever” Joel Schumacher takes over the directing duties for the third round of the Batman series from the late 80s and 90s. Unlike Tim Burton, Joel Schumacher sets completely different accents. Although he gives the popular bat a little more action scenes, he takes away a bit of the brilliant, dark backdrop from the entire implementation. This sometimes makes the film seem incredibly colorful and exaggerated. This was probably also the reason why Michael Keaton was succeeded by Val Kilmer in the role of Batman this time. This time the villain is the charismatic Jim Carrey, who is, over the course of the film, joined by Tommy Lee Jones, who always plays amazingly. At least the team does not make the sequel, which is no longer remotely so dark, seem completely nonsensical with its shrill colors. Nevertheless, Gotham City, so lovingly immersed in darkness by Tim Burten, somehow seems kindergarten-friendly. But this is exactly where our master's fine sense comes into play. He creates new perspectives, sets the focus differently than the director intended and, with his interpretation of 3D, turns a colorful candy into an elegant praline. While for many fans "Barman Forever" was "just a bad part of the good whole" and never received nearly as much recognition as its two predecessors, this three-dimensional version is a "must see". Very impressive what you can do with a cleverly implemented 3D out of a mediocre film can. This completely new interpretation allows the previously much less popular part to catch up with its much more successful predecessors. Brilliant.
