In “The Little Prince,” a strict mother moves her daughter into a new neighborhood, planning every minute of her life to ensure her success at the prestigious Werth Academy. The girl’s world is stark and colorless, filled with study and structure. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets her neighbor, the Aviator, a kind-hearted and whimsical old man. He introduces her to the extraordinary world of the Little Prince, a boy he claims to have met in the Sahara desert after a plane crash. Through the Aviator’s stories, the girl learns about the Little Prince’s home on an asteroid and his journey across the cosmos. She hears of his encounters with a king who rules over nothing, a vain man craving admiration, a drunkard trying to forget, a businessman owning stars, and a lamplighter devotedly following orders. Each adult character embodies a critique of adult obsessions, contrasting with the purity and sincerity of the Little Prince.
