Warm Bodies 3D Blu Ray 2013

I was practically forced, under protest, to watch this film right as it came out on 2D Blu-ray... but what wouldn't you do for your wife. Well, I wasn't thrilled because I had already seen films like Twilight and other films aimed at female audiences that I couldn't quite unleash my passion for. Zombies, love story, romance, funny, ... sounds weird? It is. But to put it in nice words... you will get what it is. First I thought, a six pack of beer and it'll be not so bad. But instead of crying in my beer, I ate my wife's popcorn... Shit, yeah, this film works, it's actually really good. Kind of shrill, but still good. In some scenes the film had an atmosphere like the first Toxic Avenger part. Well, not in terms of the harshness, but it's still not entirely without... and not because you think it is a B-Movie, it is not that at all. More so because of the charming, childlike humor and the loads of sentimental situational comedy. That has a cool charm. It's not mega-horror, but it's not a tearjerking film either. Just a bit of a feel-good film with a cozy portion of harshness. The film also offers additional aspects such as irony, sarcasm and a little appropriate contemporary criticism. But it works better if you ignore that and just let the film take you along. I confess that I was a little happy when I found out that this film was coming in 3D and I really enjoyed the 3D. It puts the important things in focus in its own scenes and allows you to perceive things more intensively. Some scenes were choreographed differently, from a different perspective, so that the 3D reveals things that would have been ignored in 2D (Of course only works if you have seen the film in 2D before) A nice supporting 3D. It makes an actually nice movie just a little more beautiful. What more do you want. Just expect to be entertained and feel comfortable, in a beautifully designed third dimension.
