JFC bro....as I said many times before...Why dont you just provide Top-Bottom format? 1920*2160p for all the passive 3D sets?

You really should focus on providing SBS or TAB formats for all sets. I would have extended my membership, but nowadays you only seem to focus on VR and 3D conversions which frankly don't work. Your site, your choice, but you're losing members.

Every movie that comes out has an SBS format. What are you talking about?

many movies that are available in 3D are already on our site, that's why we add conversions, because this is the only thing available in 3D right now

Half-SBS or Full-SBS are for VR or active shutter 3D set in which images are separated into side by side each consisting 1080p for each eye so we get Full-HD resolution whereas with passive 3D sets that uses interlaced system(alternate lines passing frames for left ad right simultaneously) hence 1080p is scaled down to 540p hence we get 1920p*540p which is not the resolution of Full-HD sets hence We are asking to Full-OU(Top to Bottom) format so in this we get 1920p*2160p, the half of 2160p is 1080p and hence we get Full-HD 1920p*1080presolution of each each.

A video by professional TV calibrator. Watch this short video carefully till the end and you will find out what I'm trying to say.

Not every movies comes in SBS but also in OU format too.
SBS and OU are two primary 3D formats SBS is used for Active 3D and OU is used for passive 3D.
How come Admin of this 3D movies site don't know about this?

the only benefits to OU in passive displays are in HOU, both FSBS and FOU include two full HD images, passive TVs will always cut half the horizontal resolution. In FOU, it still cuts half the horizontal resolution. With HSBS horizontal resolution is already cut in half, Passive displays further cut it in half again.
For passive displays HOU is better than HSBS, that is correct. But full frame 3D is the same either way, two full HD images, that a passive display will cut half the horizontal resolution of. FOU does not fix this at all. The resolution is the same.

            ....................................

Well, I don't understand providing Half resolution for watching 3D movies. You should provide Full-SBS and Full-OU both formats.

            For Example:

            Half-SBS = (960+960) 1920 x 1080P
            Full-SBS = (1920+1920) 3840 x 1080P

            3DBD Bluray 1920 x 1080 Left + 1920 x 1080 Right,
            = 3840 x 1080 Full-SBS, but Only can be played
            from BD/ BD25/ BD50 via Bluray Player

Now with Passive TV’s in 2D they are Full HD 1920 x1080P
In 3D because of the Polarized Glasses you only see,
Half the Horizontal Res of Left Eye and Half for Right Eye 540P

            Half-SBS on Passive is 960 x 540 (Left) + 960 x 540 (Right)
            Half-SBS on Active is 960 x 1080P (Left) + 960 x 1080P (Right)

Full Over/Under (aka) Top & Bottom
            Full – 1920 x (1080+1080) 2160
            Half – 1920 x (540+540) 1080P

A lot of TVs and 3D bluray players do not support FSBS or FOU, its why there is half res options.
To encode FSBS from the 75gb+ source file it takes 3 hours. 5 hours to upload.
You want me to take another 8 hours to make a FOU copy for a film I’ve already spent 36-48 hours converting?
              For the same resolution?
And you don’t think it’s asking a bit much when there’s already a full resolution version available?

    @JFC

If I'm not wrong, I don't think Full-SBS and Full-OU are the same at least for Passive 3D sets.

Full-SBS resolution is 3840p*1080p so it will further divide Horizontal resolution into half that is 3840p*540p, in this case vertical resolution remains unchanged.

Full-OU resolution is 1920p*2160p so it will further divide Horizontal resolution into half that is 1920p*1080p, in this case we get Full-HD 1080p per eye.

Kindly confirm if it is so or I might be wrong.

    I loved the work!
Without knowing that it is a conversion, it is difficult to make the difference with a studio work...
    Congratulation!!
