Meerkats 3D Blu Ray 2011

A delightful documentary about Meerkats becomes magical through the wonderful narration by Emily Watson. Using her voice like a finely tuned musical instrument, Watson brings life and sparkle to what might otherwise have been just another humdrum animal documentary. It is amazing how Watson works as narrator, becoming so much a part of the film and a true story teller who rivets our attention to what she is saying. When she speaks, we hang on every single word, imagining those mystically beautiful eyes of hers twinkling behind every syllable. There is no other actor capable of achieving this with a documentary and whether adult or child, she captures our hearts as well as our attention as she speaks. The photography and production are fine and worthy of Ms. Watson's participation, but it she who raises the production to a higher level.
