A Streetcar Named Desire 3D Blu Ray 1951
A Streetcar Named Desire 3D 1951 — Plot and 3D Details
Blanche DuBois arrives in New Orleans to stay with her sister Stella after her comfortable life falls apart. She is accustomed to a more refined world and tries to maintain the appearance of her former self. But Stella’s husband, Stanley Kowalski, immediately senses that Blanche is hiding something. A very tense standoff begins between them. This isn’t a movie with a lot of action. Almost everything hinges on the characters and the clash between two completely different people. Blanche lives in memories and illusions; Stanley lives in a harsh, straightforward reality. And the longer they are together, the more this difference tears Blanche apart.
The actors are the heart of this film. Vivien Leigh won her second Oscar for her portrayal of Blanche, and Marlon Brando practically redefined how dramatic characters would be portrayed on screen. His Stanley is a rough, sexy, aggressive, and yet incredibly magnetic character. Interestingly, Brando was significantly younger than the Stanley described in Tennessee Williams’ play at the time of filming. It was this role that made him one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
