Unable to conquer the village of Asterix and Obelix by force, Julius Caesar's henchmen come up with a cunning plan. They decide to build a Roman high-rise building next to the village so that its inhabitants “conquer” the Gauls with their capital culture. At first, Asterix and Obelix manage to stall the construction, but in the end the building is nevertheless erected, and the Romans resettled there teach the Gauls to sell fish at seven times the price and pass off their weapons and armor as antique souvenirs. Less than a week later, the Gauls begin to wear togas and behave like the Romans. Only Asterix defies excitement, but his attempts to stop his fellow tribesmen are in vain
