Detian Falls, China-Vietnam VR 360
There are not many waterfalls that flow across international borders. Notable among them are Victoria Falls, located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, which is 120 meters high. Iguazu Falls, separating Brazil and Argentina, is 82 meters high, and Niagara Falls, located on the border between Canada and the United States, reaches a height of 53 meters. The fourth largest waterfall crossing a national border is Detian Falls, which consists of two streams 30 meters high each and is located between China and Vietnam. During the rainy season, these waterfalls merge into a powerful stream, the sound of which can be heard at a considerable distance. In 1979, during the Sino-Vietnamese war, Chinese troops were stationed in the area. After the conflict ended, there was a dispute over the exact line of the border, which continued for a long time. In 1999, the border was officially defined along the line of the waterfall, and a stone marker and a stretched red line were erected in the surrounding jungle to symbolize the border that cannot be crossed.
