Polar lights in Iceland VR 360
The group's expedition lasted two weeks, and solar activity was forecast to occur only a few times during their stay. In the northern part of the country, near Lake Myvatn, was the spectacular Godafoss waterfall. Upon arrival, the team decided to spend a couple of days here to observe the luminosity. The forecast promised solar activity, although not very strong, but the sky was supposed to be clear.Ten kilometers from the waterfall they found a nice hotel with a warm outdoor pool. After doing their planned chores for the day, they had dinner and went for a swim in the pool filled with thermal water. The weather outside was freezing, with temperatures reaching -17°C. While they were enjoying the warmth, one of the group noticed a strange streak in the sky, which at first glance resembled a cloud. It should be noted that the faint Northern Lights are perceived by the human eye as a grayish fog, although digital camera sensors display them in green. Inspired by what they had seen, they hurried to leave the pool and ten minutes later headed for the waterfall to get a better look at this natural phenomenon.
