Reine, Lofoten archipelago, Norway VR 360
The Lofoten Archipelago, located north of the Arctic Circle in the harsh waters of the Norwegian Sea, is famous for its wildlife, majestic mountains, deep fjords, noisy bird colonies, crystal clear waters and long sandy beaches. These lands were home to the Vikings and some traces of their life can still be found. In the village of Borg, archaeologists uncovered the longest known Viking dwelling, an 83-meter-long house that has been restored and now functions as a historical museum dedicated to the legendary Vikings. Unlike other regions at a similar latitude, Lofoten has a relatively mild climate due to the influence of the Gulf Stream. From May to July there is a period of midnight sunshine, and from mid-September to April you can see the amazing aurora borealis. The unpredictable weather and mesmerizing light of these places have always attracted many artists. The AirPano team, dedicated to creating 360° panoramas of the most beautiful parts of the planet, also couldn't ignore the stunning scenery of this archipelago.
