The Golden Ring of Russia Air Balloon festival VR 360
The Golden Ring of Russia Balloon Festival. There is a legend that in 1731, sixty years before the Mongolfier brothers, a Russian inventor living in Ryazan, the scrivener Kryakutnoy, took to the skies in a hot air balloon.Although modern scientists consider this a fiction and claim that the only real inventors were the Mongolfier brothers, who demonstrated a hot air balloon in 1783.The name of these inventors is given to the balloon festival held in Kolomna near Moscow: MON-Golfier. At the same time, Kolomna is a place historically associated with the activities of the famous Soviet artist Yuri Vasiliev-MON, sometimes referred to as the Soviet predecessor of Pop Art. The combination of these significant names served as an impetus for the creation of the festival, which takes place in the vicinity of the village of Sergievsky.
