- Steven Spielberg - shot the groundbreaking CGI dinosaurs for "Jurassic Park" (1993) alongside the animatronic ones, but remained so skeptical of the new technology that he had legendary effects artist Stan Winston create a full-size, 13-foot T-Rex animatronic as a backup.
- Steven Spielberg - initially turned down the chance to direct "Raiders of the Lost Ark," feeling he wasn't good enough for a "B-movie" adventure, but was convinced by friend and creator George Lucas, who promised him a "great vacation" making the film.
- Steven Spielberg - co-founded the video game company "DreamWorks Interactive," which later produced the popular "Medal of Honor" series, directly inspired by his work on "Saving Private Ryan" to create an authentic WWII gaming experience.
