Angel Falls, Venezuela. Part I VR 360

Angel Falls is located in the center of Canaima National Park in Venezuela, near the borders with Brazil and Guyana. We drove an old Douglas from Puerto Ordaz to Canaima, and most of the space in the car was taken up by our suitcases stuffed with equipment. We had a view of the tepuis, the famous table mountains. From one of these mountains, Auyang tepui, falls the highest waterfall in the world. The story of its discovery is quite interesting. On November 14, 1933, an American pilot, Jimmy Angel, made a solo flight over Devil's Canyon in search of gold ores. When he returned, he told of an “incredible waterfall that drops a mile down,” but no one believed him. Four years later he traveled to Venezuela again, this time with his wife Marie (co-pilot and navigator) and assistants Angel Delgado, Gustavo Henie, and Felix Cardona.
