Kambalnaya River. Part IV VR 360
Upon arrival in Kamchatka we met our guide and zoo inspector Igor Shpilenk. At the place we were met by two neat huts, and five meters away from them stood a toilet stall. One detail immediately attracted our attention and revealed the exotic nature of the place: in the toilet we found a hand-held rocket launcher designed to scar bears. Igor warned us to always be careful, even when we went out to fetch water from the river near the huts. He also advised us not to leave the hut without a gun. To be honest, I didn't want to leave the hut at all: the temperature was about 10 degrees and the strong wind was driving the clouds in different directions. The bears we were going to photograph were not at the lake, but we learned that they were fishing on the river a few kilometers from the hut. In the morning we went in search of our “actors”. At last the sun came out! It became not just warm, but really hot. According to Igor Shpilenok, it was the first warm day in a month.
