Fukushima Robot Test Field, Japan VR 360

The AirPano team completed a project in Japan, capturing Tokyo from above. This modern city has a rich history, but Japan offers many other interesting locations. The country, known for its technological advancement, has a special testing ground for drone technology and robots. Fukushima Prefecture is home to the picturesque Bandai-Asahi National Park with a volcano, beautiful lakes, colorful wetlands and even a ski resort. Our partners invited us to do some filming and we were happy to accept. The robots represent the future, and their “childhood” takes place at specialized testing grounds where different environments are simulated for their work, including flooded cities, factories and highways. Japan also hosts the World Robot Summit, which includes two main events: the World Robot Challenge (WRC), a robot competition in four categories, and the World Robot Expo (WRE). The expo showcases cutting-edge robotics technology, demonstrates how robots function in the present and future, and discusses the co-existence of humans and robots.
