London, United Kingdom VR 360
London is one of the oldest and most attractive cities in Europe. The original settlement, known as Londinium, was founded by the Romans no later than 70 AD. Nowadays, it is a significant economic and cultural center, celebrating its history and numerous attractions. Not one, but several outstanding architectural gems can be found here. One of them is the Palace of Westminster, located on the banks of the River Thames. The modern appearance of the building was formed in 1860. Earlier on this site was the palace of Cnut the Great, who ruled England, Denmark and Norway from 1016 to 1035. It later became a royal residence, which was destroyed in a fire. The palace is now home to the Parliament of the United Kingdom, and nearby is Westminster Abbey, a Gothic church built between 1245 and 1745. The Abbey was damaged during World War II, but has since been carefully restored and is now, along with the Palace of Westminster, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
