The film contains never-before-seen footage of some of the largest bat caves in the world and explores Central Texas, Romania, Transylvania, and the deep jungles of Mexico to capture footage of the infamous vampire bat and expose vampire lore.

Director Greg Passmore has been exploring caves since childhood. He was fascinated by what he found there: transparent and blind creatures, archaeological remains, underground rivers, naturally, bats.
