Twixt 3D Blu Ray 2011
Twixt 3D follows the story of Hall Baltimore, a struggling writer, who arrives in a small, eerie town to promote his new book. There, he becomes entranced by a local murder mystery involving a young girl named V and a spectral presence. Hall starts experiencing haunting dreams that blend his reality with supernatural elements. Guided by the cryptic town sheriff, he investigates the mysterious events, leading him to confront his own demons and dark forces. As Hall's own life intertwines with the town's secrets, he explores the thin line between reality and the supernatural, delving into a surreal and unsettling world.
Francis Ford Coppola composed and directed the painting based on a dream he had at night in Istanbul. He dreamed of one of the key scenes of the film, which he used as the basis for the whole story. Inspired by the work of Edgar Allan Poe and Nathaniel Hawthorne, Coppola wrote a humble, personal story of a hero's purification. With the help of Baltimore, the author tries to sort out his feelings, killing the hero's daughter, because Francis Ford himself once lost his son under similar circumstances. The director makes the founder of "horror" one of the heroes, adding to the plot the classic ones for the author - the clock tower and the "mysterious" forest.
The script of the picture turned out to be uneven, both emotionally and in terms of the narrative. The line between reality and fantasy of the protagonist is almost erased by the end of the picture.
